Aro (Auto Romania) was a company that had its origins in Romania and was active from 1957 until 2006 when it faced bankruptcy. During the years of manufacturing, Aro produced about 400 000 cars and almost all of them were exported to other countries. There were Aro cars that were sold in other countries under names such as Hisparo, Portaro, AMC (Auto Max Czech) or ACM brand with an engine of Daihatsu.
