Subcompact executive car that was launched in 1996. From 1996 till 2012 Audi A3 was made on Volkswagen Group A platform but from 2012 it is based on Volkswagen Group MQB platform. This model has 3 different generations. First generation Audi A3 was available only as a 3 or 5 door hatchback but second and third generations also was available as a convertible. Some versions included Audi’s all-wheel drive system (Quattro), while the majority of these vehicles is front wheel drive.
