Daihatsu is a Japanese car and engines manufacturer that was founded in 1907 and acquired by old partner Toyota in 2016. Name of the Daihatsu is a combination of letters that comes from Japanese word “car manufacture”. Company is known because of the kei (small vehicles) and off-road models. Big part of the total production is being exported to different countries in different continents. Nowadays company aims to create electric and hybrid vehicles that are developed on Daihatsu Mild Hybrid System. In long existence of the company (Daihatsu is one of the oldest automotive companies in Japan), there were many various passenger cars, commercial vehicles, racing cars and concepts released.
