FSO (Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych) is a car manufacturer that was founded in Poland in 1948. Name translated from Polish means Passenger Automobile Factory. Company was founded by Communist government and the production was started after war. Manufacturer had produced models that were built by other brands. Company produced cars under the license of GAZ, Fiat, Daewoo. However, there were vehicles that were created by the company itself, like FSO Polonez. Company finished development of own models. Production of the company was available not only for local market, vehicles were being exported to Netherlands, Argentina, Bolivia, UK, China, Greece, Italy, Finland, Egypt.
