Caterham is a British automotive company that was founded in 1973. It specialized in producing lightweight sports cars. What makes vehicles of Caterham special, is that it is very light, some models weight less than 500 kg. Production of Caterham was used in different races such as Formula One, G2P Series, Caterham Academy championships. At the start of Caterham, cars of the company had Ford engines, however later other options were also used such as MG Rover engines. Company currently (from 2013) is owned by racing team Team Lotus creator Tony Fernandes.
