Dodge Magnum was assembled at Brampton Assembly plant, Canada. Two generations of the car were manufactured. The manufacturing period of first generation was from 1981 to 1982 at Mexico. First generation had 2-door coupe with a transmission of 4-speed A833 manual. First generation was related to Dodge Diplomat. Second generation was more comfortable and efficient having two door coupe with a transmission of 5-speed manual. Second generation was related to Dodge 400 (USA).It was successor to Chrysler Shadow GTS.
