Chrysler Imperial is a top-level model of Chrysler that was produced between 1926 and 1954, and from 1989 to 1993. This full-size luxury car was the most prestigious model of Chrysler. 7 generations of it were released, 6 of them were produced in years of 1926 – 1954. First generation was produced from 1926 to 1930, car was available as a 2-door roadster or coupe and 4-door sedan and phaeton limousine, second generation was manufactured from 1931 to 1933 as a series of 2-door roadster, coupe and 4-door sedan or 4-door limousine models, third generation was produced from 1934 to 1936 and had a sedan body, fourth generation models were 4-door limousine models with 7 seat configuration and was manufactured between 1937 and 1939, fifth generation cars were produced as a sedan or limousine in years of 1940 – 1948, sixth generation received many bodies and was produced from 1949 to 1954. Seventh generation sedan was released in 1989 and was being produced until 1993. After a long break, in 2006, Chrysler Imperial concept was released.
