Lamborghini is a Italian luxury sports car and SUVs manufacturer that was founded in 1963. Company is owned by Volkswagen Group through Audi. Lamborghini was founded as a competitor to other luxury sports car manufacturers like Ferrari.  Brand became recognized after it released Miura sports coupe, which made a standard for high-performance vehicles to have rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Company declared bankruptcy in 1978 because of the troubles that were caused by 1973 world oil crisis.  Most of the production (over 40%) are being exported to US.
